Eskom, in partnership with NASI iSpani, has opened applications for its Graduate In Training (GIT) internship across Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga, and Western Cape, offering promising prospects for recent graduates in technical fields.

The 24-month program targets graduates with qualifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, and related technical disciplines. Participants will receive on-the-job training, mentorship, and exposure to corporate operations, while contributing to power utility projects.

According to postings on LinkedIn and Facebook, the internship is open to candidates with BSc, Honors, and engineering-related degrees, giving them a chance to gain real-world experience in South Africa’s energy sector.

Nasi iSpani, the provincial job and training platform, published the details to help graduates secure placement opportunities. Observers note this initiative could help address the country’s high youth unemployment by bridging the gap between studies and employment.

However, competition is expected to be stiff, and successful applicants will need to show academic merit, adaptability, and readiness for technical responsibilities.
